Starbucks, begone! In a huge win for the local coffee community and downtown Indianapolis, Command Coffee just opened their second location on Monument Circle in the old Starbucks space.

Here at the Indianapolis Coffee Guide, we’re big Command Coffee fans. We’ve been regularly hitting up the original Command Coffee on Fall Creek since they opened, and we couldn’t be more excited that they’ve opened their second location on Monument Circle.

Command Coffee on Monument Circle

We love that Command Coffee has opened on Monument Circle in the literal heart of downtown Indianapolis because that we need more good local coffee shops downtown. The second best part is that the new Command Coffee is in an old Starbucks space! I won’t go into the details, but there are plenty of details online about the inconsistencies in Starbucks’s story when they closed their café on the circle. Regardless, they’re gone and local coffee has taken its place!

The original Command Coffee on Fall Creek also used to be a Starbucks back in the day. The new Tinker Coffee on Market Street was also a Starbucks, as was MOTW in Castleton.

Command Coffee always has some fun seasonal drinks on the menu for folks to try, so you can never go wrong with one of those. They also don’t charge for oat milk, so that’s another huge win!
