Neighborhood Coffee Shops in Indianapolis

The local coffee scene in Indianapolis is growing so quickly that it is hard to keep up with! Luckily for you, that’s where the Indianapolis Coffee Guide comes in.

Read about some of our favorite neighborhood coffee shops in Indianapolis.

Downtown Coffee Shops

Some of my earliest memories of childhood are running around the Soldiers & Sailors monument downtown. So it doesn’t surprise me that some of my favorite coffee shops are downtown Indianapolis. Some of the newest & trendiest spots fit right alongside some of the cities oldest cafes. There’s something for everyone.

Broad Ripple

Just north of downtown Indy lies the artistic, yet collegiate pocket of Broad Ripple. This part of Indy is home to some of the best restaurants and dive bars in the city, and the coffee shops in Broad Ripple are right on par.

Fountain Square

If you know Indianapolis at all, then you know that the coffee shops in Fountain Square are some of the best in the city, state, and whole damn country. There are the classic neighborhood cafes that are warm and cozy. There are the bright and colorful (read: Instagrammable) trendy spots. And even a cat cafe. There’s genuinely something for everyone.

Carmel

Oh, hi! Do you like driving in literal circles? If you’re like me in that you do, you’ll be happy to know that there are some great local coffee shops in Carmel. From local favorite Indie Coffee Roasters to classic cafe and art gallery SoHo, there are only a few shops, but they are genuinely some of the city’s best.

Fishers and Geist

This northside suburb seems to be one of the fastest-growing areas outside of Downtown Indianapolis, and the list is only getting longer of local coffee shops in Fishers and Geist.
