Tinker Coffee + The Garden Table Conquer Amsterdam
Watch out, Dutch. Tinker Coffee Co. & The Garden Table are coming to take over. Well, your coffee competition at least.

If there’s one thing I love as much as coffee, it’s alcohol (sorry, mom!). Enjoying a nice cocktail with dinner / friends is almost as nice as a perfect cup of coffee before the sun comes up. The only thing that could be better than a good cup of coffee or a cocktail is, well, a coffee cocktail. Which brings me to some exciting news that I’ve been waiting to share:
Stephen Hall from Tinker Coffee Co. and bartender Michael Schrader from The Garden Table are heading to AMSTERDAM on March 10 to compete in the 2017 Coffee Mixologist Competition at the Amsterdam Coffee Festival.
Steve & Mike worked together to concoct the perfect (we think) coffee-centered cocktail and recorded a sweet video of their recipe to submit to the competition.
Lo and behold, their signature drink was selected as 1 of 16 finalists who will be flying to Amsterdam to compete. Dayummmm.
The duo uses a cold-brew concentrate of Tinker’s Finca Los Pinos, tequila, rosemary sage simple syrup, and a few other fancy ingredients to produce: Lord Byron, the soon-to-be-award-winning coffee cocktail.
Tinker Coffee is, no doubt, one of Indy’s favorite coffee roasters, so I’m stoked to see them doing big things with their coffee. And with The Garden Table joining the food & bev scene on Mass Ave., we’re excited to see this pair shake up the scene in Indy and in Amsterdam.
Check out the coffee & cocktail nerds’ video submission below and see the full line-up of competition cocktails here. And if you feel up to the challenge, get the recipe over on Tinker’s blog.
