It has been incredible to see the impact MOTW Coffee & Pastries has had on the Indy coffee community and the community-at-large, and I am ecstatic for their new location in Fishers.
The MOTW in Fishers is as beautiful as it is cozy with plenty of seating, a LIVE PLANT WALL, and intricate Turkish woodwork that was made in partnership with a local artist.
Besides the incredible coffee & pastry menus (feat. that GoodGood Tinker Coffee), I always encourage folks to checkout MOTW because of the team. I’ll try to keep this short because I will (and can) talk about MOTW all day.
MOTW stands for Muslims of the World, which is a local non-profit funding humanitarian efforts around the world. Muslims of the World started as Instagram account to bring visibility to real human stories of Muslims around the globe, and since has grown into a powerful organization that has raised millions of dollars in the last few years for causes reaching from Indianapolis and all the way to Ethiopia, Syria, Yemen, and Somalia.
The passion the MOTW team brings to their non-profit translates into their café spaces through the way they serve and uplift the community. The MOTW café counters are managed by smiling, compassionate humans who bring a true light to all those they serve. I kid you now when I say that I’ve left MOTW with tears in my eyes on multiple occasions.
MOTW serves up a special Tinker Coffee roast, but that’s not all you’ll want to check out. Fan favorites on the coffee menu include the Biscoff latté, any of their seasonal drinks, and the chai. The chai is my personal favorite because it is a traditional Yemeni chai that is perfect sweet and creamy with the right amount of spice.
It should also be illegal to leave MOTW without any of the pastries. The baklava will always be my favorite, but you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
Another bonus factoid: the MOTW team is incredibly diverse, and the recipes for their pastries and sweets come from folks who have learned their craft all over the world.
